Photography for people, brands & stories with heart.

Who’s The Who?

I’m Jessica Roberts, a Melbourne photographer and creative storyteller drawn to people, energy and the feeling of real life.

Over the years I’ve photographed artists, business owners, families, campaigns, weddings, community projects and brands with heart. What connects all of my work is people. I’m always looking for the story underneath, the energy, the feeling, the small moments that often say the most.

Alongside photography, I work in creative content and marketing, bringing stories, people and ideas together across digital, community and brand spaces.

The Who was built around a simple question:
Who are you?

Real people photograph beautifully

Real people photograph beautifully.

No matter who you are, where you come from or how comfortable you feel in front of the camera, you can be seen in a way that feels beautiful and real.

Often people I photograph associate having their photo taken with feeling awkward or uncomfortable. A huge part of what I do is create a safe, relaxed space where people can find a place that allows them to relax, feel more like themselves and maybe even enjoy the experience.

That’s when the magic happens. The photos feel alive and carry real energy. They look and feel like you.

Sunset family shoots

A quick 15 minute shoot at sunset, easy to book and perfect if you want beautiful photos without making a big thing of it.

Family photos are about a time in your life. The people you love, the way your children fit in your arms, the funny little expressions, the messy hair, the real smiles and all the things that change before you realise they have.

These shoots are relaxed, natural and full of warmth. We don’t need perfect outfits, perfect hair or children who are in the perfect mood. We just need beautiful light, a little bit of time together.

I am now based in Frankston South. Ricketts Point is still one of my favourite spots for these shoots, and I also photograph families around Mt Eliza, Frankston South, Sweetwater Creek, Bayside and the Mornington Peninsula.

Wedding Photography

I photograph a handful of weddings each year, because I love it.

I have photographed more than 200 weddings, so I bring a lot of experience with me, the best bit is that I still get excited to be part of someone’s day.

My style is relaxed and natural. I care about creating beautiful photos that feel like your wedding, while making sure the important moments are captured properly.

I shoot with professional gear and always have two cameras with me. I’m confident working in different light, weather and locations, so you can relax and enjoy the day.

  • A wedding couple standing on a beach at sunset, with the ocean in the background. The bride is wearing a white lace wedding dress and the groom is dressed in a light-colored suit. They are looking at each other lovingly.

  • Five women dressed in bridal attire standing indoors, holding bouquets of white flowers, and smiling for a photo, with a window and a wall with posters in the background.

  • A bride and groom walking hand in hand outdoors at a wedding, smiling, with guests in the background, surrounded by a black chain-link fence and greenery.

  • A wedding ceremony outdoors with the bride and groom holding hands, surrounded by guests throwing flower petals in the air against a bright blue sky with the ocean in the background.

  • A newlywed couple walking hand in hand outside an amusement park with a large clown face entrance. The bride is wearing a white dress, heels, and a floral crown, and holding a bouquet. The groom is in a gray suit with a tie.

  • A bride and groom with a young girl, possibly a flower girl, standing on a wooded trail outdoors during a wedding ceremony. The bride is kneeling, the groom is smiling, and the girl is holding hands with the bride. Sunlight filters through the trees.

I believe that your insecurities just might be your greatest super power. When we work together I create a safe space for your true self to shine
